Ursus Heritage Consulting Ltd., located in Vernon, BC, seeks archaeologists for the following roles: Junior Archaeologist, Field Director and Senior Archaeologist. Most work will take place in the Southern Interior or Southern Coast.

Applicants must have a Bachelors or graduate degree in archaeology or anthropology, with a field school, minimum 2 years BC archaeological consulting experience, familiarity with BC archaeology, and strong written and verbal communication skills. Applicants must be capable of working in a quality and deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision, and comfortable working in the field for long hours. 

The position is field and office based. Responsibilities include field work, report writing, interacting with clients and government personnel.  

Applicants must be physically fit, have OFA Level 1 First Aid, and hold a valid BC Driver’s License.
